Istanbul is a great place to be and people who have been there will always find time to visit the famous city again for at least once every year. They have already been used to the procedure of looking for a place to stay, such as the apartments in Istanbul. Most of these apartments are situated in the city proper since most of the people who come to visit the place are fascinated with the tourist attractions in the area which are concentrated in the middle of the city. But when you want to enjoy the quieter and more serene part of the villages where there is more privacy, apartments can be had at cheaper and affordable rates. Here are some rules to follow when you are planning to have a vacation in Istanbul and planning to stay in a cheap apartment Istanbul.
- Check out the community where the apartment is located. There might be safety issues involving the area and it is best to have a background check before finalizing on your choice. Assess critically if there are iron bars on the apartments or rental homes as this will give them away. Aside from this, be on the lookout for huge painted words on the walls, walkways and apartment buildings which clearly means that there are undesirable personalities around the area and shows that the neighborhood is not that safe.
- Ensure that the apartment is near the public means of transportation such as buses, trains and other public utility vehicles. This must be taken into consideration even if you own a car or not. The most important thing is that you can quickly get to an area where you desire to visit or in cases or emergency, access to the means of transportation can be easily had.
- Assess on the several utilities that are included with the rent payment such as electricity, water, heat, gas, cable, internet, and telephone. The easiest way to do this is to confer with the owner or manager but if this is not possible; confirm the details from past renters or those who are existing renters in the apartment.
- Always read the contents of the contract and review several times so that you get all the terms and conditions right. The contract will include the rental fee, terms of payment, rental deposit, deposit in case of damages, length of stay, and house rules. There are also additional contents of the contract such as how many persons are allowed to stay in this Istanbul accommodation, whether or not guests are allowed, if there is a curfew hour followed, policies on bringing of pets, and conditions for termination of the contract. The contract should be fully understood and signed and can be used as an evidence in court should there be misunderstanding and trouble that will ensue arising from the conditions stipulated in it.
These are important rules to follow in renting an apartment, and these have been time-tested and proven to work and will make your renting satisfaction complete.
